Here Alan Watts so eloquently explains that we are so linked with our planet, our environment, that the human being should not be called a human being, it should be called a human being Earthling. Harming our planet is no different than a smoker harming their lungs. It's just been magnified by technology. This speech was from the 60's and resonates now more than ever.
HUMAN KNOWLEDGE LIMITATION
In a rather playful interview with a reporter, my favorite physicist explains the limits of human knowledge and the reason that you should never ask a scientist a "WHY" question. I always thought that magnets, or how they behave was settled science. As it turns out we don't know why like poles repel and opposites attract. We only know the rules of the game and you just have to accept it.

Not only is his intellect instantly apparent against the likes of today's "leaders" but his vision for this country. . . his vision puts him in a class of his own. Can you imagine a politician today daring to ask Americans to look 10,000 years into the future? Can you take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself what will our descendants say about us?? Will they curse the day we were in charge? Or will we rise to the challenge and join The Great Generation to be the Generation that saved the planet?
